It’s obvious to me that this site plans to advocate not voting for the only viable candidate to oppose Obama. It is also obvious that there are those whose votes will be swayed in that direction.

Should Obama win by a very narrow margin, I will be justified in my conclusion that FR contributed to that victory. Should Obama lose or win by a wide margin in the swing states, I will not have justification for that conclusion.

It’s really quite simple and I am surprised and disappointed that many here don’t seem to grasp it. We have two viable parties. Should a third viable party materialize and their candidate more closely matches my politics, I’ll vote for him. Until then, I will vote for the lesser of two evils when necessary.

Did we learn nothing from Ross Perot? Result: 8 years of Bill Clinton. Did we learn nothing from Ralph Nader? Result: Al Gore lost. The last time a third party won the presidency was 1860. It may happen again, but not this year.
