I always check the past posting history. I celebrate if it is a deserved zot of what appears to be almost certainly a troll. Sign up date really doesn’t mean anything. It’s past posting history that matters. I never celebrate a zot that I consider wrong and usually comment that I don’t understand why that one was zotted.

I remember way back when Dem provocateurs & neo-nazis would post things on FR just to try to take down the site and the zot celebrations made sense.

They haven't for a long time to me. Somebody who is honest about his political preference is not trying to take down the site.
