Let me try to explain it to you. You refer to Romney as "Democrat Lite", that would make Obama "Democrat". Right?
Okay. I'm a diabetic. If I would drink "Coca-cola" - it would be very harmful to me. I hate the taste of "Diet Coke", but I drink it because it lets me live to fight another day. Aside from the fact that I shouldn't drink soda pop anyway, and that water is more healthy - I don't like Romney either - I was a die-hard Perrywinkle. I was called names, mocked and had to endure the constant "posse ping list" insults whenever I just wanted to read an article posted about Gov. Perry. Romney was the last person I wanted to see on the ticket.
But now I have a choice of Obama or Romney. If I don't vote for Romney, that's one less vote Obama has to overcome to victory. If you add in the inevitable cheating that will occur - Romney will have to get every single vote possible just to have a chance to defeat the biggest threat to my liberty and freedom that I have ever known.
If Romney wins - we live to fight another day. If Obama wins - it's checkmate. You want to say that I am "flip"? How flippant is it to throw a little tantrum and waste that precious vote on someone that cannot defeat this monster? America will not survive four more years of that.
I agree with you AW:

Remember Ross Perot?
I plan to hitch my hopes on all the true Conservatives down ticket plus a few amendment issues, i.e.; Gay Marriage. If, and I DO mean if, Romney is the nominee after all the primaries are done and the "people" have spoken, I will probably have to hold my nose yet again and vote for him. The thought of four more years of the Obamanation is sickening. A strong Conservative House and stronger Senate can keep whatever big ideas Romney may have in check and then we can look to 2016 to drive home the truth that Conservatives are tired of being treated as the red-headed step children of the Republican Party and start VERY early to put one of our own into the highest office. Until then, I do not plan on sending the GOP one red cent! Free Republic, on the other hand, will always get my support.
I’ve made a decision to never vote out of fear again, and from now on to vote FOR something.
