Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

Your stand is well-documented and I haven’t seen a single person here who disagrees with the core of it.
But this site has become a pale shadow of what it once was. Once conservatives of varying degrees were free to discuss openly and intelligently. Now anyone who diverges even slightly from the mob’s opinion is openly insulted, often by you personally, often in disgusting and degrading terms.
Why anyone of even moderate intelligence would want to be a part of this anymore is beyond me. I do not. Please disable my account.

For years, conservatives were told by the GOP that if you want to have conservative GOP candidates in the general elections, then you need to work for your guy to win in the primary. If that doesn't happen, you need to support the RINO in the general.
And conservatives largely did that for many a year.
Fast forward to 2010. Something the GOP-E never envisioned happened - the great unwashed actually DID get a lot of their conservative candidates elected in the primary. And defeated a lot of prime RINO in the process.
So did the GOP-E follow their own advice?
No. They went on TV and did everyting they could to backstab the Tea Party winners. And Lord knows what they did behind the scenes, I am sure it was not pretty.
Now we saw Mitt Romney utterly destroy his opposition with lowbrow, unpricipled ad attacks. Scorched earth is no way to win a primary if you want to win the general. But apparently the GOP-E would rather have their RINO even if it means they have effectively trashed their chances in November. Many days I think they are more scared of conservatives than they are of Democrats.
This is the landscape we see now on FR - the scorched earth has extended here, and that changes things. It's not pretty. I have no idea what will become of FR, conservativism or the GOP. But we didn't start this fire. We're just dealing with the aftermath. And there are no guides for such, we're just going to have to muddle through it the best we can. But IMO, tossing your principles aside is NOT the first step.

Recently Jim Robinson posted two threads declaring Free Republic’s determination to see Conservatives elected and ousting Rino's from government. Jim and a great many Freepers believe that we need to take back control. But the RNC is not hearing us. Activism is called for NOW. 2010 is nearing and we need Conservative candidates to run. The time is ripe and people are ready for another 1994 type election. But we need to make the RNC hear us loud and clear.
Well, Jim, my old friend, it’s time to part ways. You can go ahead and “zot” me as well. I’ve been thinking about this situation here, and it seems to me I’ve been sitting on the fence. You’re right. Rebellion IS afoot. I can no longer support any site or any person who is openly working to keep the illegal alien, communist dictator wannabe Obama in office.
My ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War, and just about every war ever since, did not fight, and in some cases die, so that a dangerous fraud like Obama can take our country down. A conservative site that won’t support the Republican on the ballot—well, it’s something else, not conservative.

No matter which big-government, pro-abortion-gun-grabbing-liar wins in November, we need as many TEA Party patriots in the U.S. House and Senate to stop that president from imposing his liberal agenda on us.
The GOP-E with their fossil incumbents, gave our TEA Party patriots the shaft in 2010 when it came to leadership positions, so we must send an arsenal of re-enforcements.

Gotta disagree here. Those of us that have been reading and posting to FR for many years have an emotional and intellectual attachment to the site. Making the decision to cut ties with something that has been so important for so long is difficult and painful. Expressing that in public on that site is natural and normal.
For every one who writes a serious opus, there are many others who have either left without an opus or are considering it. The opus serves to point out that it is happening.
If this site contributes to Obama being reelected, I'm not sure I can ever forgive it.
Ok, I want Obama gone too, but not with Obama-lite. Check their actual records. Almost identical right down to identical government forced compulsory health insurance programs complete with taxpayer funded abortion, death panels and tax penalties for those who refuse to bow down to such tyranny.
