Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.
I agree with your assessment. Palin’s tease campaign was a disaster for conservatism. Her fans systematically destroyed every candidate with an ounce of conservatism in them until we got down to Romney/Gingrich/Santorum and then she announces she’s not running when our choices are gone.
I had many fights here with Palinistas over their rabid support of the candidate-that-might-be over the candidates that are actually running and deserve support. Unfortunately, St Sarah of Wasilla never donned her armor and rode up to lead the army and now we all have to choose between Romney and Obama—the ultimate pair of sh!t sandwiches (one on white, one on wheat).
Thank you very much, LibLieSlayer!! Just took another one out.
Still bashing Palin, eh? Got nothing better to do?
I remember when she would post an article supporting Perry and would be attacked immediately.
If you remember otherwise, you were late to the party!
So sad. We could’ve been a contender if only we’d bowed to the GOP-e and gone along with their big tent (abortionist/homosexualist/statist) philosophy. /s
Hell, Jim’s just in it for the money anyway. He could be rich if he’d just go with the company line. You got to go along to get along.
No thanks! We are the resistance!!
If not us, who? If not now, when?

She betrayed conservatism by not freeing her supporters to move on to another candidate when we had 9 candidates. I supported her until she wasn’t in the race for the first or second debate. After that, I knew she wasn’t coming to the dance and I started looking for a new date, but many stood in the parking lot, pining away for her. So now we have Romney vs Obama and it is forbidden to support either here, so I’m mostly sticking to religious discussion until after November.
Thank you dear friend!

Bunkum. The elites wanted Romney and with money, the press and manipulation, they got him. We got the shaft. Again.
Uh huh. I see. Romney is Palin’s fault. But don’t you know it’s really all Bush’s fault?
I agree with you about FReepers leaving because of the vile non-stop religious bigotry which has mushroomed here.
There should be no place on a conservative political website for holier-than-thou cliques of wackos whose SOLE PURPOSE for being on the website is to trash the religions of other conservatives. Let them take their venom to an anti-Mormon or anti-Catholic website which wallows in such hatred. I’m disappointed that they are allowed here.
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena...”
Speech by “progressive” Pres. Theo Roosevelt, and frequently mentioned by “rino” Pres. Richard Nixon.
From start of VP until elected Potus Nixon was “In the Arena” for 15 years.
From start of Calif. Gov until elected Potus Reagan was “In the Arena” for 14 years.
I rather think olde Teddy would be quite popular with non-partisan Tea Party supporters, for his populism, for his “trust busting” etc.
And btw olde Teddy was “In the Arena” for a long, long time too.

You wouldn't see Tony Snow or Barbara Olsen hanging out here these days because there is no open discussion.
Only group-thinking allowed these days.
Sorry, but I prefer the past to this mess.
Bunkum? Good word. LOL.
I’m not blaming her entirely for this mess we find ourselves in. I’m really not blaming HER at all. She never said she would run and she didn’t. I’m blaming the people who helped destroy conservatives so she would, in their minds, have an easy run to the nomination.
I’m just saying that she was more of a contributor that a solution. The GOP-e, along with the leftist media, were the primary culprits here. All Palin did was to make sure that no one supported any conservatives en masse until it was too late, and seeing what was happening on her behalf, should have let her supporter know much earlier that she wasn’t in it.
