No one deserves to be “taught” that “lesson.” Romney is light years better than Obama. But I’m with Rush. I think it will be an electoral blowout for Romney (and would have been for any GOP candidate).
I interpret Rove’s statement as a warning for those who think that Obama will be easy to defeat that they have a fight ahead. That those who want obama out of office don’t dare be comfortable or smug about ‘bho can’t win’ and thus I don’t need to vote or can vote for a 3rd party candidate.
Bring it on! I and my family will fight until the last breath!
If Romney is elected you and most of the ANYONE but Obama will go to sleep mistakenly thiking you have saved The Republic.

It will be a shame if a few hard core anti-Romney voters stay home and end up giving us 4 more years of Obama. Of course if that happens they won’t blame the fact they stayed home; they will do what they always do: blame the candidate.

I totally agree with you. Rove is warning that no one that wants Obama defeated can stay out of this fight. We need every vote to defeat Obama and work to destroy the entire Democrat Party. I will not post my feelings or prediction of the November, 2012 POTUS returns. They will be surprising, just like the 1980 Reagan/Carter POTUS race. Romney needs to run scared every day, but....then again, so does Obama!!!

This story has confused me too. Rove might have been officially neutral, but he certainly wasn’t touting any of the other candidates. We know he is anti-Tea party and the rumors were that he (and all the bush gang) are anti-Perry.
So what gives? Why does he come out with this “analysis” and make his boy look bad?
I actually think Obama is in a good deal of trouble. I think and awful lot of people gave him an awful lot of slack in 2008 and I don’t think he’ll get that again. Plus his base consists of many unreliable voters.
My friend, fear not, the anti-Romney Freeper voters that sit on their hands or vote for Obama are such a tiny group in the overall scheme of things, they have no impact whatsoever. If they did, Romney would not be the nominee.
So....be pragamatic & real, if they won’t join in the fight to defeat Obama, let them wallow in their worthless rants and raves. Remember the old saying we used to say as kids. “Sticks & stones make break my bones but ranting, raving words will never harm me”. Onward to victory. The future of your children and America is at stake. ANYBODY BUT OBAMA.
