One by one. they were picked apart by the media, leaving us with the likes of Romney. As a Texan, the nomination is pretty much a done deal before we even get to vote.

My nose is still out of joint from holding it and pulling the voting booth lever (I haven’t felt good about casting a vote since Reagan), but I will do ‘er again.

They weren't picked apart by the media so much as Mitt Romney spent millions lying about their character and their record.

Why do you think conservatives despise Mitt Romney?

It's the combination of his left-wing, Progressive Liberal record as Governor and his consistent in-your-face lying about that record and his opponents in the primary.
