Jennifer Tyrrell, the den leader who was "fired" by her local Cub Scout troop for being gay, said that her 7-year-old son Cruz will not remain in the national organization because of its discrimination against gay leaders and scouts.
In March, the Boy Scouts of America removed Tyrrell from her position, telling her that her sexual orientation "did not meet the high standards" of conduct set by the Boy Scouts of America
"We can no longer support an organization that has these policies and we hope to get them changed," said Tyrrell. "That is our main goal."

“So youd want your son to go overnight camping with gay Scoutmasters, as long as there were TWO gays?”
How do you know whether they are gay? Most pedophiles don’t admit to it. That’s the problem with the whole idea.
You assume everyone is a problem.

I know that homosexuals molest at a much higher rate than heterosexuals.
I also don’t want homosexual role models for my sons.
Certainly if he is closeted I can’t know. But if he is motivated to keep closeted it may help him not to act out.
Freaks.....

It’s probably the opposite. If he has something to hide, there’s a reason.
She has the right equipment....
The No adult alone with a Scout rule protects the Scouts, not the No Gays rule.
I tend to agree with you that people suffering from a sexual mental disorder can lie about it to attempt to hide it. And I would agree that The No adult alone with a Scout rule would protect in most cases.
However, if you are implying that two adult homosexual sex practitioners would be a protective measure I would have to disagree with you as those who suffer from the self destructive sexual disorder are always legitimately discriminated against in certain areas of concern such as the case of this topic. The scout leader was 'out' and since her mental disorder was known there was no choice but to do the correct thing and fire her as an immoral self destructive influence.
The “Never alone” rule is the protection from trouble. Whether someone is morally unable to be a Scout leader is not the question.
Unmarried Scout leaders are very rare. We have two unmarried Scout leaders in our troop. One of them is “living” with the mother of their child (they are no longer a couple). I’m not sure about the other.
Ironically, most issues occur between Scouts, not Scouts and leaders.
I think it's part of the 'gay' culture, much like the violent rage of the 'black' culture for being 'dissed'.
Illustration #98798367373645 of why the country has gone to hell. Really, I'm broken and numb and barely care anymore except for my family, relatives, and others like us with traditional values. Looking for an uninhabited island as I speak. Hope to be in a good position to watch the asteroid(s) descend on North America and Europe and have a few minutes to say prayers before the tsunami hits.
