The special announcement was only for the Party meeting at the April 25th Palace of Culture to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Chosun People's Army.

Yes, here are the graphic, if not silly rat posters, threatening violent death of the current pro-US South Korean President, yesterday from crazy North Korea:

Definite psychos. Cornered and perhaps desperate. Kind of reminds me of this, some 60 years ago, with another enemy of ours:
HERE.

Well there was the matter of the Korean “comfort women” used by Japanese troops during WW II-—the gals sued in Japanese court for damages a few years back. They lost, the Nips claimed the surrender settled all the claims. The crowd that can remember that far back is getting pretty thin but I’m gonna guess that there is still a lot of grudge holding on the part of many Koreans.

NK has removed most of the “rats talk” from their site
http://175.45.176.68/InterEn/ the key issues are now KPA’s 80th Birthday under Presence of Kim Jong Un and Kim Jong Un Congratulates Opening of Mansugyo Meat and Fish Shop, i.e. entertainment and food.
Can this be interpreted as an indication that that they will go back to the normal crazy level, and perhaps that the probability for a nuclear test has been reduced?

I believe it's too early to tell they are really calming down. Chicom could have been annoyed and ask NK to tone down the rhetoric but am not sure about NK backing down on nuke test.

According to the tenants and tactics of
Sun Tzu, it could purport precisely the opposite.
Remember their surprise blitzkrieg the early morning of June 25, 1950 which surprised the hell out of everyone, including General Doug MacArthur (RIP).
