As I mentioned on the other related thread, last night, I had a “Trayvon” wannabe try to start a confrontation with me while I was walking into the grocery store. I was minding my own business and suddenly I hear some young thug yelling, “ARE YOU STARING AT ME??? WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU LOOKING AT??? DON’T YOU LOOK AT ME!!!” There was no one else around but me. He was obviously looking to start a fight. I just ignored him and walked into the store, my adrenaline pumping. I am seriously considering purchasing my first handgun.

I believe it. Carry a can of pepper spray with you at the very least. I’d like to see how big-n-bad he is with his face and eyes on fire for an hour.
Unfortunatley, the fool wanted to feel gangsta and you were his vent. The idiots who hatched the POS raised him to believe that those with fairer skin are afraid of him. The POS did not meet the right one yet, who will make him dust the back of his pants off. You did right in ignoring the POS, otherwise there would have been a (T-mob) on your person. I suggest you move from NJ,it has become a police state for law abiding citizens.
Very similar circumstance happened to my son in a bar in Chicago. Standing with his girlfriend when a black thug all of the sudden started threatening him. They had had no interaction whatsoever. This is all horrifying and scary as hell.
Buy it. Do it now while you still can. Get ammo while it’s on the shelf, it will not be for long. Go to the range. You must know not only how to shoot, but how to shoot under duress with elevated heart rate, adrenaline flowing and heavy breathing occurring.
We are heading into a time where no decent person should be without a weapon.
Do it. And get some training, a CHL and start carrying everywhere legal. More guns = less crime.
Reegs, I urge you to get armed. If he had some of his “peeps in da screet” with him, they would have done Riverdance on your back in the parking lot.
Being alone and in a well lit public place did not help him but that will change. He can always twitter up a “mob of his goons”.
I just want to take this opportunity to reiterate this important tactical lesson. If you are confronted by a mob, they will sucker punch you from the direction you are not looking. It will be with full body mass, and the point is to get you on the ground where they can stomp you to death.
Two things, a mob of UNARMED people attacking you is still a deadly force situation and it might seem silly but practice dry firing from your back, because it is very likely that is where you may wind up.
In the Army, I was taught that in order to win, I had to master these critical skills. SHOOT, MOVE, COMMUNICATE, SURVIVE. Those skills are just as critical and poignant on the streets for armed citizens.
My thought, and I may be way off base, is that these thugs have nothing going for them, might as well be a martyr.
Look at how proud Trayvon’s parents are and how they are treated like royalty now.
Look at the Trayvon shrines and Jesse and Al marching and that POS in charge laying claim to him just cause he is black.
Why bother to study and be a productive citizen when you can just be a coddled victim with whitey supporting you?
You need to get right on that last thing.
