Even if that were the case, do they ever mention 'specialized' taxes?
My best friend's brother lives in California. She told me one of the things he pays along with property taxes is a *view tax*.
It was 10 minutes before I stopped laughing long enough for her to explain what it was. ;-)

The LibTard (might be misspelled) center of Texas (Austin) considered such a tax for the hilltops around Lake Travis. I don’t know if it was enacted.
I live north of Austin and read the online Austin newspaper to find out what is happening around the area. It is rapidly becoming more like California everyday, but the hot local economy is pumping in the tax dollars to support their bike bridges and solar power efforts...
I have not spent a taxable dollar there since they boycotted Arizona...
I believe that they have that tax in New Hampshire too.
