Mitt Romney was not his first choice for president, but conservative political activist Scott Magill has come to accept that Romney is now his only choice. So Magill is looking for reasons to get jazzed about the candidate he once dismissed.
His list so far: Romney is a Republican who would sign into law legislation passed by a GOP-led House. Romney has started to hit the right talking points. If elected, Romney would have to listen to the conservative base - or risk its wrath at reelection time.
Also, and perhaps most important, Romney is not Barack Obama.
The conservative base appears to be warming to Romney, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted after Santorum's exit, which found that about 80 percent of conservative Republicans hold favorable views of Romney - a record percentage for the candidate.
Santorum's withdrawal from the field has opened the door for many groups that had been uncomfortable with his candidacy to embrace Romney, including the National Right to Life; the Susan B. Anthony List; National Organization for Marriage, which opposes same-sex marriage.

No. It's another attempt to create a Romney-friendly desired reality or outcome.
That analogy isn’t even close to what is happening. It’s the pubs looking for a handout, not me. As much as they want to sell it that I need them - I don’t. I’m not starving. I’m full up to my forehead with the bullsh!t the demopubs are so used to shoveling. If they want my vote they can serve up a candidate that is a real Conservative.
To keep with the theme of your analogy - “Please, Sir, may I have some more gruel?” - isn’t a line I’ll be using anymore.
You're promoting the same lie Romney and the democrates are promoting...that's just nonesense. Getting tired of Romneybots spreading their "stuff" on Fr.
Romney will go with whatever flow benifits himself in order to gain the Presidency he has sought...and to vindicate his papa's loss. He's spent more than 8 yrs. running for this ring and will bend whatever direction he needs to to get there....and flip his nose at the voters who believed him after he gains it.
Romney isn’t receiving MY support, but I am hoping that I am wrong about his RINO tendencies... but in my heart I know that I am right.
But I would never be happier to be wrong about something than this.
Romney if elected would be the most liberal Republican President since Nixon.
Romney makes W look like a hard right conservative by comparison, that's how far left Romney is.
The nomination process is NOT over and and the above article and your tactic of “support Romney now or you support obama” are a Romney tactic to deprive and fragment support from Romney’s challengers. I’ll not be counted as supporting Romney or obama. I support Newt, IF Newt decides he’s out AND Romney has a FIRM LOCK on the 1144 delegates then I will look at ALL alternatives and make my descision. Until then my goal is to support Newt. My secondary goal would be to see Romney denied the nomination. I don’t believe Romney can beat obama and a vote for Romney is a vote for obama.
seems someone is scrubbing my pics of Romney off of tinypic O.O I didn’t know they could do that :p
I'm fast getting to the point I don't care how long someones been a Freeper...if they are promoting Romney I will treat them like a Progressive....they cannot and have not justified their leaving conservative principles...they 've only clearly shown they've been baited and had!
Newt is now history. He was never a serious candidate after he got clobbered in Florida. His only claim to fame is that by not quitting early, he paved the way for Santorum to lose to Romney in MI and OH, and he has now given us Romney. Obama MUST be defeated. We can’t have Obama shape SCOTUS and the federal judiciary long after he’s gone. The primary season is now over. Get over it. While gays and Hollywood, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, SEIU, NEA; GLBT, march to the polls to vote for Obama, many of us will be voting against him. The country comes first.
.... Ill not be counted as supporting Romney or obama. I support Newt,.... IF Newt decides hes out AND Romney has a FIRM LOCK on the 1144 delegates then I will look at ALL alternatives and make my descision...... Until then my goal is to support Newt....... Hear! Here!

Guess I’ll have to register at Imageshack >.<
So in your twisted mind you somehow imagine there’s a blank line on your ballot that you can write in your’re voting for Romney because? No such thing as a vote against.
When we vote for a candidate, we are voting not just for a person, but for that persons platform.......Ballots simply do not contain room for voters to indicate why thy have chosen a particular candidate. ..it therefore will always be “for” the candidate and all which he stands for.
Romney nor Obama care one iotta what your reasoning is...as long as you vote for them it is determined a “FOR” vote..it is counted as a “for”...it is deemed so by the parties...and by the electorate and delegates.
You can color it anyway you wish...but you are voting “For Romney which also means you have left behind your conservative principles in order to do that...and have played into the GOP/Romney/Obama set up.
Romney can’t beat obama and when the nomination process is ended and if Romney is nominated the election will be over.
Yours is the twisted logic. Voting determines outcomes. It’s not about “for” or “against” like choosing a personal choice for business or marriage. When you know that a second-term Obama can ruin your country forever, you don’t stay at home and still call yourself a patriot. You do your best to prevent this coming catastrophe.
“Somebody needs to explain to me how all the anti-Romney diatribes this site produces will get rid of Obama this fall.”
Perhaps someone should explain to you that this is a conservative site. Not a site for whoring out your conservative principles for a gun grabbing, pro-abortion socialist just because he has an R behind his name.
