This is all weird....here in the Kali desert we hit 107 yesterday, and likely will be right around there again today.
Jet stream has to do with and we are off the Erie Lake affects as well.....time will tell as this area very difficult to pin down weather wise.
If you hit 107 I’m sure you’re in air conditioning. I learned when living in Florida.. the difference between the North and the South is only a matter of what season they are homebound...here it’s winter snow storms.....there it’s too hot to be outdoors. Both end up homebound when it gets too extreme.
I live near Greater Pitt Airport. BTW, I notice wild variations in the weather too. There are times I go from Sewickley, it is raining there and when I get up into Moon or Alliquippa/Hopewell, it is snowing. In summer, when I go to Neville Island on a hot day, it seems like it is so much hotter there.
Thanks for the pingy sneaks!
I have been watching this too. Power loss risk will be the big problem. Kids had NO snow days and NO delays this year. Looking for fun times the next couple of days!
Do I get props for NOT prepping (sort of)? Usually I go grocery shopping at Wally World Sunday evenings...I’m just getting a few non perishables (but hitting the deli) things we can use of no microwave or electric stove
And if propane grill becomes hard to get too.
So its kind of non prepping prepping.
We lose power when a a squirrel runs across a power line outside of Jeanette, so I’m expecting the worst :(
Yinz stay safe!
Hi neighbor! As the crow flies, im not that far from you...east end of Irwin zip code. Fun days in store for us :(
your right we do and have discussed it often...will be making a purchase..
Well the Watch has turned into A Warning...
TWC SVR New:
Winter Storm Warning #748400 for Westmoreland, PA until Apr 24 02:00 AM EDT.

Just came back to post more....Drudge has it up as his banner. SNOWPRIL! On his links (National Weather Service and The Weather Channel) shows metro of the Burgh in high snow accumulations, high wind warnings, and dense foliage growth areas. We. Are. Doomed.
I’m beginning to wonder now...how many days til power comes back on.
I’ve learned from watching television that every hot day in summer is evidence of global warming so I’m a little confused. Does this mean the Earth is now cooling?
Oh noes!?! Been nice knowing ya!
I will be walking Monday morning. Oh joy, LOL!
Hopefully it will be light rain and no snow. Not even going to try doing it in less than 45 minutes.
HiiPaMom! We stopped for propane at Lowes this afternoon. Took the canister from the propane grill. It was almost empty anyway. At least we’ll have heat. I have a gas stove so can still cook. And, MOST importantly, we have a Coleman coffeemaker that brews a really decent cup of coffee. We’re good to go!
Oh no! Wear warm, waterproof boots! It won’t be fun trudging home through heavy, wet snow! And wear a hat!
A. Morgan sent me the radar to your area - P6, sounds like you need snowshoes more than anything! Stay safe and warm, yinz’ll.
LOL! I don't want you to lose power but that was just funny as he**!
