Despite much pressure from Romney forces, Colorado Republicans last weekend at their Denver convention surprised political observers by electing – and by a large margin — more uncommitted than committed delegates. >>>(The hard count was 23 uncommitted to only 13 for Romney.)<<< This was widely interpreted to mean that rank and file Republicans are still very wary of Governor Romney’s candidacy.

– The other news is from Washington where the news media is all abuzz about a recent Washington Post/ABC poll. Here’s the transcript from a recent Meet the Press.

MEET THE PRESS HOST — …. I want to show you what I think is the most telling number of the week that’s come out in polls and it was from The Washington Post/ABC poll that talked about his favorability ratings. Right now Mitt Romney’s favorable ratings, 34 percent; unfavorable, 50 percent that isunheard of for a leading contender at this stage of the process.

Look back historically at what Republicans have enjoyed and if you look at the approval ratings that John McCain had at this point in the campaign, 53 percent; George W. Bush and Bob Dole, 49 percent. Again, Mitt Romney down at 34 percent.

This screed looks like total nonsense to me. Totally out of touch with the prevailing reality of the situation, with the "facts on the ground," the determination of which voters must finally weigh in to decide....

In short, this screed is totally unhelpful.... And I totally deplore it.

Since 1900, this country has elected three (3) conservatives to the Presidency. If Romney is elected, that will bring the total to three (3).

I almost hate to say this but I refuse to vote for RINO Romney, Period!
I held my nose for McCain.

I will vote Senate and Congress but write in something for Pres.
At this point Conservative branches is the only fall back to reality
we have left for this country.

Romney can kiss my lilly white American ass, and his little Rove too.

This is one of the best posts I’ve seen in a while and I think she is spot on. I really enjoyed the read and the inspiration it provided. I feel about Romney exactly how I felt about Obama before he was elected. I feel that he is dangerous and completely opposite what this country needs.

The Conservative Cause is clearly served by an Obama re-election rather than a Romney win.

A Right leaning/Conservative Congress can easily remain united behind an Obama re-election....whereas the same Congress will be sliced and diced by the RINOS if Romney is in the White House.

The Powers That Be fully understand this....

Well, if Romney wasn’t able to buy the nomination last time, maybe he won’t be able to buy it this time :)

All the posts pushing Mandate-Massachusetts-Mitt, we at the Varsity Flight household have yet to see a single one outlining anything SPECIFIC Mandate-Mitt has to offer. Can’t do it. Federalite Bloc.

As I’ve already mentioned, Federal takover Mandate-Mitt gets his backing from the 15 trillion $ Federalite Bloc Takeover, those that will never vote again for the Undocumented-Should be Serving “Us” Coffee.

Watch them mad scramble to force the Undocumented Coffee Server out quickly, if their chosen Mandate-Mitt doesn’t get their nomination.

"People say that Mitt Romney is a flip-flopper. I think that’s very unjust. I think he’s been a very consistent politician. He consistently works both sides of the street on the same issue. He is consistently cynical and expedient and self-serving."
