Do we know the brand of pistol?
So I don’t buy one...
Any semi-auto may go out of battery if you’re pressing the muzzle against something solid.
That’s why you need one of these: http://cdn5.thefirearmsblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/pb1-0ss.jpg
KelTec. Although KelTec has received some mixed reviews in the past, just about every pistol that relies upon blow-back to eject the shell will stove pipe if the shooter doesn't stiff arm the strong side grip -- which is a real possibility when you are lying on the ground with someone straddling yur chest as he pounds your head into concrete. This is one of the reasons that I carry a revolver 80% of the time.
I carry a KelTec Model P11 on a daily basis. I trust my life and my family’s safety to it.
Any gun is only as good as the owner as far as shooting ability and good maintenance practices.
BTW, the KelTec P11 is VERY popular with law enforcement as back-up and off-duty carry weapons.
