With ABC News’ release of the George Zimmerman photo showing blood flowing freely from his head, the question becomes whether Angela Corey, the prosecutor in the case, had access to the photo before charging Zimmerman with second-degree murder.
The arrest affidavit did not mention the photograph, or the bleeding, gashes, and bruises on Zimmermans’ head. Professor Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School stated upon release of the arrest affidavit that it was “so thin that it won’t make it past a judge on a second degree murder charge … everything in the affidavit is completely consistent with a defense of self-defense.”
After the release of the photo, however, Dershowitz went much further, telling Breitbart News that if the prosecutors did have the photo and didn’t mention it in the affidavit, that would constitute a “grave ethical violation,” since affidavits are supposed to contain “all relevant information.”
Dershowitz continued, “An affidavit that willfully misstates undisputed evidence known to the prosecution is not only unethical but borders on perjury because an affiant swears to tell not only the truth, but the whole truth, and suppressing an important part of the whole truth is a lie."

A Change of Venue would seem likely. What these politicians are doing is hoping that if they can drag it out long enough tempers will cool and no riots will ensue. Good luck on that.
Both the defense and prosecution participate in jury selection.
IIRC, the defense has more “peremptory strikes” than the prosecution AND fewer limits on their use. Peremptory strikes allow rejection of a juror without having to give a cause. Otherwise, a juror maybe challenged “for cause.”
Unless Zimmerman’s defense is incompetent (or working withe the prosecution!), it SHOULD be difficult to impanel a completely hostile jury.
Yes, that’s inconsistent, but Zero weasels about his anti-Israel stance, while Sharpton’s ginning up a mob to “Kill the Jews!” is apparently so egregious even a lockstep liberal can’t ignore it. I think Dershowitz takes it very personally.

One of the local network affiliates started this whole show. He apparently called the major network brass and said, “Hey, take a look at this....might be a national story here” The rest is history
1) Lightening Zimms skin
2) 12 year old trayvon (skin also lightened)
3) False audio-video of Zimm, making him racist
4) Filtered camera making Zimm look like he had no injuries
on and on. Pure evil.
I’m willing to wait before I declare someone guilty in case there is any good motive of which we are not aware.
In this case, the prosecutor may be giving Zimmerman the best cover from a DOJ prosecution on trumped up civil rights charges. Even having these state charges in place may provide George some time before the Federal legal harassment starts.
I suspect Federal charges of some type would have already been filed if Florida had not acted.
That is absolutely not true. THe prosecution had multiple lesser charges in the Casey anthony case, even manslaughter and child abuse.

I don't know how many challenges each side gets (I'm not a lawyer) but I know that each side gets at least one...and probably a good deal more.What you say about empaneling a completely hostile jury applies both ways.That is,IMO,barring huge stupidity by *either* side during jury selection the final result will be "hung jury".To be more specific,if there's a single black woman on the jury (and what are the chances of that not being the case?) Zimmerman's only hope is a hung jury because you and I know that such a juror will never vote to acquit....if,for no other reason,than to avoid harm to herself or her family.
How long ago did ABC acquire the new photo of Zimmerman’s head? How close in time was it to their expose that Zimmerman had no injuries that blew up in their face? I suspect they’ve had it for quite a while. How did they obtain the photo?
Did the prosecution have the photo? If not why not? Did they provide it to the defense? If not why not?
I wonder how long ABC had these photo’s and simply kept them under wraps?
Maybe it's because the Hispano-cracker's name is Zimmerman?

Someone ought to remind Angela Nifong Corey that Nifong was eventually disbarred.
