The most recent vote produced a veto-proof majority in the House in favor of approval for the Keystone XL pipeline, and Byron York writes that the opposition in the Senate might be weakening as well.
Thats not the only wave of disapproval coming from his fellow Democrats these days, either. The Hill reports that recent remarks by Barney Frank on ObamaCare has opened the floodgates of criticism just as constituents start paying attention to the upcoming election:
An increasing number of Democrats are taking potshots at President Obamas healthcare law ahead of a Supreme Court decision that could overturn it.
The public grievances have come from centrists and liberals and reflect rising anxiety ahead of Novembers elections.
Ya think? Democrats tried running on the ObamaCare is a great idea platform in 2010, and look how well that turned out for them. Democrats in Congress well, those still in Congress arent about to defend the tremendously unpopular legislation again. Youll hear arguments like the one from Dennis Cardoza, who claims to have tried to stop it:
Rep. Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.) also criticized his partys handling of the issue, and said he repeatedly called on his leaders to figure out how they were going to pay for the bill, and then figure out what they could afford.
Cardoza, who like Miller will retire at the end of the Congress, said he thought the bill should have been done in digestible pieces that the American public could understand and that we could implement.
Right now, though, it looks like Democrats on Capitol Hill arent concerned about loyalty to a sinking Obama. Its every politician for him/herself.

This may help Mittens....I hate the GOP....
So, Dems were against it before they were for it (Keystone); but for it before they were against it (Obamacare).
No wonder they’re always in such foul moods—That’s a lot to keep straight.
Mostly the dems are sorry they got found out and really sorry America is just too stupid to see it their way. Not sorry on the substance of all this crap they tried.
Nebraska Gov. just approved a bypass that adds 100 miles to the pipeline.
let the RATS and Fredo Obama chew on that.
And why should they? Obama, Emanuel, Pelosi, Reid, Rouse, etc. first lied to the rank and file Rats, and then after they got what they wanted, threw their soldiers under the tracks. Obama's finding out that that lack of loyalty thing works both ways...
Great....could you post a link to this....potential big news...
Thanks in advance...
(deserves a thread of its own if you are so inclined)
When faced with having to eat a crap sandwich, you don't nibble; you take the biggest bite possible and get it over with. But the bottom line is, its still a crap sandwich.
Sorry...
I gotta walk back about the Governor approving it. The gov. approved state officials to proceed with an environmental review of the new route.
sorry for screwing it up.
I dont think its really up to us. Canada has a say and last I heard they were no longer interested in doing business w/ us.
I haven't seen the approved route, but it is my understanding that the original proposal was for a route paralleling an existing pipeline, but was changed to the one with the shortcut at the request of our national government. Obama gave that one the ax when the environmentalists claimed it would leak & ruin the whole Ogallala aquifer and destroy all the Nebraska pump irrigation.
yep..sorry..see my post #9
Don’t Believe It For A Second ping. Thanks Hojczyk.
