“We should amend the Declaration.”
Here goes:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, the pursuit of Happiness, and fresh Bananas.
While I’m at it, why don’t I help them rewrite the commerce clause:
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian tribes, and within the States, and to regulate stuff that isn’t really Commerce, and to create Commerce in order to regulate it.
Oh, how about the Second Amendment; I only need totake out one word:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall be infringed.
This is boring, we don’t need anything but:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do let Washington do whatever the heck it wants.
