You know, your "man" caved, picked up his marbles and went home, he didn't like the amount of debt he was accumulating, is how he put it. Guess what? I doubt Newt likes the amount of debt he is accumulating, but he's still in and he's still fighting, and if you had any sense, you'd be trying to help him, instead of being held captive by your Newt hate, and Santorum obsession.
There is a principled conservative still in the race, whether you want to admit to it or not.
You live with your conscience, I'll live with mine.
To think that Newt has any chance is nothing short of pure day-dreaming. His baggage is heavy enough to sink a fleet of Titanics, his Grand Canyon-type gender gap has only gotten wider, his “southern strategy” went up in smoke, he is polling in the single digits, so what he says or does is no longer relevant, and there is no media following him. He thrashes FoxNews and now says that CNN is more balanced. We no longer hear about the $2.50 gas/gallon or the permanent moon-based colonies within eight years and instead the news about Gingrich is about penguin bites.
Our task is to mitigate the damage, make sure we have a strong conservative VP, and hold Romney’s feet to the fire (especially as it relates to SCOTUS appointments) in case he beats Obama. Ths is what Sarah Palin and Levin are saying as well. Anybody but Obama.
Speaking of conscience, knocking down Santorum who won 11 states and 3 millon plus votes, clobbered Gingrich in the south, and had to quit for purely personal reasons to take care of a seriously ill daughter is pathetic.
