Registered Nurse Verna Deann McClain Charged with Capital Murder in Death of Kala Golden Schuchardt During Baby Kidnapping

HOUSTON - Deputies have taken a woman into custody in the case of a newborn infant who was kidnapped and the child's mother who was shot to death.
A capital murder charge was filed against Verna Deann McClain, 30, according to a FOX 26 News contributor. He says investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are questioning McClain, but that she has confessed to the crime.
McClain reportedly told her sister that she was about to adopt a baby, FOX 26 has learned. She told investigators she did not know Kala Golden, 28, the mother who was killed.
An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon for Keegan Schuchardt after the infant was kidnapped at a pediatrician’s office around 2:40 p.m. in the intersection of Burrough Park and Sawdust Road.
Golden was placing her newborn son inside her pickup truck when she got into an altercation with someone in a car parked next to her, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect shot Golden several times and took off with the baby.

My 21 year old (white) daughter has dropped out of nursing school. Don’t send your children to Rasmussen. Costs 5 times as much as a community college nursing program and won’t assist students one iota for the bug bucks.
Posting here because this murderous scum most likely got her RN because of her race and not because of academics. One that is a real nurse, doesn’t kill — period.

You can’t get an RN from a community college. You need 4 yrs of school.
According to the affidavit, McClain’s sister, Corina Jackson, had recently said that her sister would be adopting a baby soon. After she allegedly killed Golden and stole her newborn, McClain stated to her sister that she now had the child. McClain has three children ages 16, 10 and 6.
“There were statements that were made by Ms. McClain that led us to believe this was an intentional act on her part, not that Ms. Golden was targeted specifically, but that this was part of a plan to kidnap a child,” Ligon said.
Witnesses said the mom fought to keep the baby from the kidnappers, but ended up in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.
“She was laying on the ground. She wasn’t moving for nothing,” witness Joshua Jesson told ABC station KTRK in Houston. “But then I saw a blue Lexus drive off in that direction.”
“The child was being put into the suspect vehicle and that’s when the mother tried to get into the car,” Lt. Dan Norris with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said. “The car sped away, knocking the lady to the ground.”

A BSN takes 4 years, not an RN degree. The latter takes 2 1/2 to 3 years. Anyway, from what I’ve read, the murderer was an LVN, not an RN.
