I favor tax-rate reductions combined with eliminating (perhaps with a transitional phase-out period) many of the tax deductions we currently have. A consumption tax (not a VAT) that completely replaces the current income tax might even be better.

I favor a very low flat tax with no deductions, everyone pays the exact same % on gross income.

That pushes all the pork spending taxes to the local level where it is easier to fight them.

The liberal $hitholes can wallow in their own misery.
