Johnny, it's just my observation. It has nothing to do with me growing some hide. I am sensing so much anger in these postings, it's not just sharing opinions and it's not just defending positions. It is much more than that IMHO.

I've never had three replies, you and two others, within a minute of Posting a comment. It just proves my point.

It seems there is no compromise between the two factions and I have yet to see one FReeper changing their position after being confronted with the opposing view. A whole lot of keystrokes without a whole lot of progress.

That's where we are and these endless battles won't change a darn thing in the long run, unless a Free Republic purge is on the horizon. The rubber will hit the road after “someone” becomes the GOP Nominee.

Anyway, that's how I see it. Nothing more to say.

This thread is slow compared to many that I remember. Ones with twenty posts in the time it took to make one short reply.

Freedom is hard and messy. And some of us are committed to our principles.

And personally, I do think that the discussion will change things. Perhaps not with the posters, but with those that monitor this web-site.

If they see enough "We will Never Ever vote for a Liberal, even Romney" then maybe they will think again.

And then, maybe not. I'm not going to think that I'm in control of anything other than what I do myself. And I can't for for a liberal. Not even a Republican liberal.

I hope you don't take any potential disagreement personally. I don't know you from Adam.
