Conservative Choices or Republican Sheep? (Vanity)
Free Republic ^

Conservatives laugh at sheep and useful idiots. We laughed at Democrats when their "Anybody but Bush" got them Kerry. They thought that "Anybody but" works. It doesn't. The electorate needs something to vote FOR and not against. It's called "inspiration" and "something to believe in". Fear is not a belief. It is an unbridled emotion that clouds judgment and has been on full display lately.
Romney is not yet the nominee but some believe it is a done deal. The controllers, the RNC and the MSM, want you to believe that. It flies in the face of everything we know. But fear has gripped the electorate, even on Free Republic, and posters are lashing out at one another rather than considering options.
Newt Gingrich is still in the race. He has not given up on the country that he loves. He is a historian and knows what it took to build this Republic. He is also watching it be destroyed by both parties, Democrats and Republicans. Gingrich fights on but some conservatives have already surrendered.
Mitt Romney will not save the Republic nor reverse it's downfall. And we ARE on the brink of financial destruction. His record is one of parceling off pieces of failed companies, not saving them. He will not save the country.
Some are ready to believe the RNC's fairy tale when you know they are lying. Fight back! Deny Romney the 1144 he needs and stop talking about voting for him. The elites read FR. They know they have conservatives scared and by supporting Romney on FR, you are telling the elites that they have won. The primaries are not over and Romney is not the inevitable winner. Support the last man standing and stop giving encouragement to the enemy of our country.

My primary vote goes to Newt. In the general I will vote against Obama. Me too! But it'll never be for Romney...
To: DJ MacWoW
Indeed. I will never, never, never vote for Mitt Romney, and I told the RNC so in a Presidential Survey form.

I’m replying to Alas Babylon.I also voted for Newt in my primary and I agree that come November, its the Republican candidate (anybody) over Obama. Not pushing anyone, just repeating what the Motor City Madman is saying. We can not let Obama have another 4 years and any Republican, including Romney, is better that Obama - by a mile.

I've read those links and more. Some I agree with. Some is a little over the top, in my opinion. I also remember talking to a bunch of purists back in 1979, telling me that Reagan was an unrepentant abortionist and a closet liberal that would sell us out. I also remember the Ross Perot crowd, which included a number of friends that roamed in similar conservative circles as myself, handing Clinton the Presidency. Like I said, I voted my conscious in my State's primary (pulling the lever for Newt), but come the General election, I'm voting for the Republican opposition candidate to Obama. After all, if i don't, Ted Nugent might kill himself or wind up in jail.

I'm voting for the Republican opposition candidate to Obama.
Keep telling the RNC loud and clear that you have surrendered to their choice.

Quote Link In the wake of the devastating Detroit riots of the summer of 1967, Michigan Gov. George Romney, a liberal Republican, met the radical organizer Saul Alinsky to discuss the grievances of the urban black poor, he explained.
Photos of the meeting can be found in the archives of the Library of Congress.
Kaczynski noted that a book on George Romney quotes the former Michigan governor telling his allies, I think you ought to listen to Alinsky.
Political analyst and think-tank researcher Steve Baldwin believes that Mitt Romney was definitely impacted by his fathers association with Alinsky.

On the contrary, I've surrendered to reality , along with Marco Rubio, Ted Nugent, Robert Bork, almost all of the current house conservative leadership, etc.. I'm in good Conservative company. However, you go with what you think you need to do. I'll do the same.

Read again what I wrote. Did you read it the first time?
The RNC picked Romney last year. They are as liberal as Romney. Mitt has never done anything that's conservative. The Republican party has moved left. Those are facts.
Romney did not legally win all of Floridas delegates according to RNC rules. And yet they have done nothing. Liberal, abortionist, homosexual rights, gun grabbing Romney is the RNC's pick. And every time that you say you'll vote for him, the elitists gain power over the electorate.
Romney does not yet have the nomination. We still have a chance to defeat him. But we won't if people like you keep bowing to their masters in DC.

Hey DJ, I read your post the first time. We disagree. There are many on Free Republic that agree with you, there are many Conservatives, like myself, that agree with what I’m writing. You’re sadly mistaken if you think that the Conservatives like those that I’ve listed who’ve come to the same conclusion as me are “bowing to” our “masters in DC”. We’ve just sized things up differently than you. Nothing personal.

I have. It gives me chills, particularly when they list the Communist goals from back in the 50’s in light of what's happened. However, that video merely renews my conviction to see Obama removed from office along with his Yoda, Saul Alinsky. If it means a vote for Romney, I and many Conservatives that I respect have no problem doing that. Once Obama is out and we remove the Democrats from Control of the Senate, we can work on “purifying” our majority. Think of it this way, we'll have a lot more influence on the Republicans in control than the Democrats in connection with the next supreme court appointments. This is the real game and it will be for all the marbles in the next presidential term.
