I wish I had saved the Houston Chronicle that came a few days ago. There was an article about several species of antelope that are extinct or severely endangered in their native areas of the world but they are thriving on “game ranches” in Texas. They have been brought to Texas and turned out on huge ranches where they have increased in numbers.......... in spite of the fact that they are hunted.
The Wikipedia article link posted here, is not correct. The hunted animals are not kept in small pens where hunters shoot them. They are in wild surroundings like they would be in their native lands. the difference is they will not be hunted to extinction as they have been in places like Pakistan.
