This whole episode shows the narcissism that permeates the Left. In my family, my wife does the heavy lifting in raising our three children. All I do is make the money. When put on the scales of importance, the kids win. I never understood the notion that working for strangers was more important than working for your own flesh and blood. If both parents have to work out of the home out of necessity, than it must be done. But to do it just for careerism is truly selfish, unless your childless or your kids are no longer kids.

100% correct. That's how it should be. The man's goal should be to make enough money so his wife can be a full time mother to his children. Not always achievable but you shoot for this. Only deranged libs go out and insult stay at home moms. At the same time some mothers feel compelled (its in their mental makeup) to get the heck out of the house. They feel trapped. So they go to work even though the husband is making enough for her to be at home with the children.
