In March of 2011, former Rep. John Leboutiller predicted in a News Max article that, the tea party will select the 2012 GOP nominee.
At the time, it was a safe prediction given the strength of the tea-party movement in the 2010 elections and the influence it was expected to have on the GOP presidential primaries just over a year later. But something went terribly wrong in the meantime. Many politicians heavily supported by the tea-party movement seem to have switched sides, pursuing their own agenda at the expense of the conservative movement and the tea party.
Take Christine ODonnell, for example. ODonnell lost her bid for the U.S. Senate in Delaware but continues to have a following among tea-party activists. Inexplicably, she recently endorsed Romney, stating she is doing so because she thinks infrastructure and executive experience are important. She also claimed, Hes been consistent since he changed his mind.
One wonders if the $5,000 ODonnell received in 2010 from Romneys Free and Strong America PAC had any influence on her decision.
Similarly, the tea-party movement was heavily involved in the election of South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, but she endorsed Romney last month, claiming in her endorsement remarks, He knows how to create jobs and turn the economy. Haley also received some big bucks from Romney; to be precise, she took $36,000 from Romneys various PACs over the last few years, more than any other gubernatorial candidate.
Then theres Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, a long-time favorite of tea-party activists. Chaffetz is actually a member of the Romney Truth Squad that goes around harassing Newt Gingrich everywhere he speaks. Chaffetz claims Romney is a fiscal conservative and that due to his budget cuts in Massachusetts, tea partiers love him. But Chaffetz also loves Romneys money since he received almost

And the Un-Masking of Mitt Romney, the left-wing, Progressive Liberal, continues . . . | |
"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton |
ROTFLMAO!!!!
This is exactly why I’m so tired of hearing the fantasy that we’ll hold Mitt’s feet to the fire.
I see know reason to believe we will because we can’t even keep tea party congressmen from being co opted. Saying we’ll hold Mitt’s feet to the fire has about as much validity is when democrats claim they’re helping the poor.
And he’ll be consistent till he changes his mind again.
Is Governor Moombeam treading on you? How is he working out for California? Could move ya know to another state!
Any successful organization, whether a civic group, or a church, or business or political group, will eventually attract PARASITES because it is successful. Nobody likes the idea of being judged or the idea of ideological purity tests, but at some point, you have to refocus and drive the parasites out your system.
Let me ask you something. Predict as best you can, who Romney would pick for SCOTUS. I think that says it all.
Well he sure picked plenty of liberals for the courts as governor.
“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.” - Alexander Hamilton
Thanks. I’m stealing that quote and using it everywhere until election day.
Reading the comments about mitt, I kept thinking of that post on the other thread where it lists all his failures in employment, etc. during his admin and things actually got worse in MA. He really is evil filled!
Wonder if the TeaParty approached them and asked for their money back due to them being frauds as they will so easily can be bought off and state untruths about mitt’s accomplishments to put him in a much better light that deceives voters.
Romney didn’t win the primaries fair-and-square as the political pundits would have you believe. In many states, the GOP launched a lot of RNC contribution money (10:1) against conservative candidates disguised as Super PACs. This was never a fair fight! A lot of individual contributors to the RNC should be very upset with how their money was spent.
I feel the same and laugh when I see that statement - hold his feet to the fire. That empty suit doesn’t have an honest bone in his body. He’s evil filled and evil does what evil does - evil! Evil doesn’t do good only to deceive as the end effect is evil.
“...pursuing their own agenda at the expense of the conservative movement and the tea party.”
They didn’t cost Conservatives or the TEA Party anything. Not a d@mn thing. We’re grateful to know who they are. They didn’t create us.
If they want short-term benefit over long-term gain, so be it. We’re in it for the long-haul (or until “When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary...”)
Aren't we to have one last one? However, I don't think it going to change much in the country, evil will still be rampant but many lives will be changed. I could be wrong.
I think people, in general, are more 'dead' now - such gloom and a lack of caring. I mean people who are generally good folk - a change in them. Like everyone took one or two steps down. Like the bad got very bad. So it may not be just CA.
Actually, it follows the article. There was a time, one's word was their honor. Now they take and then will sell their soul to evil for some cash to deliberately deceive voters. Not that it effects some small town in anywhere USA. But USA itself.
Like how Barry got in, how many were paid off with favors or whatever or possibly some threatened not to address this or that. It's amazing how many only care about themselves and not our country that they were hired/elected to do. I just thought of something this......
2 Timothy 3
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
However, Mr. Hamilton, in his wildest imagination, could never have anticipated the advent of this “Dear Leader!”
