I understand your FRustration and am praying that the USSC decides to completely overturn Obamacare. If they do not, then I am compelled to cast a vote for the candidate that is most likely to sign the legislation that will repeal it. Of course that also assumes that we DO have another Conservative push into both the House and Senate.
In addition, I am stuck in what could be a swing state, so my vote may actually carry weight. Honestly, my heart hurts that I am going to be in a position to HAVE to vote for him....
I will keep praying and I will keep being appreciative for FR. Thank you for giving us this venue.
You do realize, of course, that Romney has already started work on his national healthcare task force to impose RomneyCare-like socialist healthcare programs on the citizens of all 50 states at the state level? He still brags that his baby is a “free market conservative solution” to the nation’s healthcare woes. He’s already recruited Pam Bondi of Florida for the task force and he and she agree that RomneyCare is constitutional and would be a great solution and she boasts that they have 26 states already lined up to go.
Think I’m kidding:

This is betrayal and conflict of interest of the highest order. Bondi is leading the effort to bring down ObamaCare as unconstitutional yet she praises and wants to install RomneyCare!! They’re functionally the same damn thing!!
Romney does not want to repeal ObamaCare. He just wants to rename it.
He is the one who wrote the USA Today column suggesting a national individual mandate on healthcare.
“I like mandates, mandates work”
Romney is not the guy we want.
I generally agree with you. Have only made it through ~15% of this thread, and have already observed what can only be described as a circular firing squad. We claim to be conservatives, yet conservatives are being routinely desparaged here based on scant evidence. There are also numerous posts alleging the need for “saving” the Republican Party, but that disgusts me to some degree because I abandoned the party a decade and a half ago for good cause (Newt and Trent), and see no rational reason to return. I’m now unaffiliated with any party and will vote for the lesser of the evils put before me which I believe represents the attitude of most of us Tea Partyers.
Moreover, I almost got banned some weeks ago for calling fellow Freepers ill-advised names out of frustration, but now we have Jim doing the same thing on this thread with ample support from others. WTF is going on here???
Freepers have made a significant impact, but not so much as the various Tea Party factions, and I sure would hate to see Free Republic disintegrate internally due to sometimes petty disagreements about the ultimate objectives involved in taking our country back from the insidious, antiAmerican “progressives”! If this gets me ZOTTED, so be it...
