“Mitt has 666 delegates”
FALSE. According to RNC own count, Romney has 573 bounded delegates so far. He needs 571 more to clinch the nomination.
With the release of some 200 delegates from Santorum dropping out, the nomination is not over YET, as more than 1150 delegates have to be allocated in the next primaries.
Clarification: The quote came from Pravious, not from me. I was responding to what he said.
I'm aware of delegate math issues and don't know what the real numbers are at this point, except that Romney is ahead by some number greater than Gingrich and less than what he needs to be nominated on the first ballot.
In other words, there's still time, but time is quickly running out.
