“But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don’t have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It’ll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.”

On another thread I posted something similar along with an admonition to not give the enemies within more ammunition but was called a commie by some ignorant knuckle dragger.

Jim I make you look like a liberal and if we are going to throw our hands up for the office of President that is absolutely fine and understandable and certainly lets work to get conservatives in every other office possible but come on, do not give talking points to our enemies in the commie dumbocrap party and in the MSM because you know they will use it against us and the country.

This is a classic case of loose lips sink ships and the enemy is listening.

The best we could do is go into stealth mode when it comes to Mitt as we will not, more than likely have a conservative for the office of president. Silence is golden.

Well, I’ve been warning everyone from the time that RudyMcRomney started running several years ago. If an abortionist/homosexualist/pro-amnesty/pro-socialized healthcare, big government RINO wins the Republican nomination it will destroy the GOP and set the conservative movement back a generation or more. Looks like it may come to pass. I will never vote for or support this evil abortionist/homosexualist/socialist bastard!! Back to back RINOS (McCain followed by Romney) and we’re toast as a conservative party.

I like the way PA BOOKENDS put it:

PA BOOKENDS to Jim Robinson

We, on the conservative side, always look at the black vote, scratch out heads, & wonder how it is that so many blacks continue to vote for dems when the policies of the democrat party hurt them so badly.
The dems chuckle and retort, “Where else are they gonna go?”

It seems that the republican establishment has taken the same attitude toward us conservatives - “Where else are they gonna go?”

Well, this conservative (I haven’t identified as a republican since Dole was our “choice”)intends to send them a message -LOUD AND CLEAR - that my vote is NOT to be taken as a given, because I ain’t givin’ it to a RINO.

The more of us who make that choice, the louder & clearer the message. I’m with you, Jim.

Yes, the liberals are listening. That's obvious. Free Republic has been accurately quoted in the New York Times and Politico as a rallying point for anti-Romney conservatives, and inaccurately described in The Atlantic as a racist site, just in the last couple of months. It seems clear that this site is going to end up being a significant thorn in the side of the Republican Party if Mitt Romney is the nominee.

However, without communicating with conservatives, do you have any better idea how to convince people not to vote for Romney and to vote for Gingrich instead in the remaining states?

I'm not prepared to give up. Winning elections means communicating. I read the New York Times on a daily basis and part of my reason why is to learn how the leftists and top government officials think and what they're planning. If they want to read Free Republic I don't see the difference.
