the rather sad thing is that, you should be able to wander around aimlessly should you so choose without being thought a criminal. Even if you are a kid on suspension who should be home grounded not wandering around the neighborhood. It’s a shame Trayvon was sent to dad when on suspension so he couldn’t hang with friends, but dad decides he’d rather spend the night out with girlfriend than be home with his son. It’s bad that Zimmerman’s experiences led him to suspect everyone, to him calling 911 it seemed over anyone he saw walking about (which seems to be an abuse of 911 when there really isn’t an “emergency” yet).

I thought I read that he called a direct line to the police, likely a community watch liaison, not 911.

Was it really 911?

So true! The whole thing could have easily been avoided if Zimmerman had only heeded the order of 911 and not have followed him.
