Of course the affidavit says ‘Zimmerman confronted Martin’. How could the AG hope to win a 2nd degree murder conviction if the affidavit read Zimmerman was jumped while following Martin?

The affidavit isn't fact.

I find it a bit odd that the affidavit has been published, in view of this:
After Zimmerman exited, O'Mara asked the judge to seal documents in the court file containing other information -- including witness statements and information.

"I am seeking on my clients behalf... that we do a complete sealing of that record," O'Mara said, adding that the sealing would be temporary. The judge agreed.

Wasn't the affidavit -- which presumably presents the prosecution's best possible case -- one of the sealed documents?
