Is sanctioned the same as disbarred?
Only a question, not an argument!
I am not an attorney, and I didn’t go to Harvard... but I think “sanctioned” means, for example, a letter of reprimand or possibly a temporary suspension of law license. Disbarred, I believe, means permanently out of business to practice law.
Disbarrment (suspension from the practice of law) is a severe form of sanction. Most states provide for attorney sanctions in the form of: public and private repreimands, temporary suspentions with or without automatic reinstatment and permanent suspention.
