And would that it were so, that your use of the subjunctive would so bowl me over, as to render me speechless.

I'm curious to know what you think would've been correct. I.e., what exactly is wrong with "None of us was there"?

Care to educate us?

A student was walking across campus at Harvard one day and he walked past an English professor and asked: "Where's the library at?".
The Professor looked down upon the student with distain and said. "This is Harvard University. At Harvard we do not end our sentences with a preposition.
The student responded, "OK, Where's the library at, @$$hole?"
