George Zimmerman woke up in a Seminole County jail cell this morning as the mother of Trayvon Martin, the teen he killed, revealed on national television that she thinks the shooting was an accident.

Asked what she would like to ask to Zimmerman, Trayvon's mother, Sybrina Fulton, told The Today Show that she wants an apology from him.
"I believe it was an accident. I believe it just got out of control and he couldn't turn the clock back," Fulton said, revealing her opinion on what happened the night her 17-year-old son was shot to death. "I would ask him, did he know that that was a minor, that that was a teenager and that he did not have a weapon."

I wonder why she said “weapon” instead of “gun”. If it is true that he had a screw driver in his backpack, would that be a “weapon”?
Thanks, P-M.
It wasn't a point, it was a question.
Given all else being the same with witnesses and circumstance with only skin color being different, I believe wed have the same results, only without black-backlash...
My 'conjecture' is that I was thinking exactly the same thing.
He should be released on personal recog...
Please send me info on that; I had no clue. On the beach with my phone, non-existing laptop Internet. I’ve been calling truTV and other shows all morning re: case. Gotta hop, friend says they are in court.
Of course not. The purpose of the Obamedia is to lynch George Zimmerman, not inform anyone about the case:
Family of Florida boy killed by Neighborhood Watch seeks arrest
Trayvon Martin was shot dead after he took a break from watching NBA All-Star game television coverage to walk 10 minutes to a convenience store to buy snacks including Skittles candy requested by his 13-year-old brother, Chad, the family's lawyer Ben Crump said.

And yes, Zimmerman took the cops back the next day and re-enacted it.
I don’t know about Florida. But in Idaho the prosecution levies the maximum charge they feel the evidence warrants.
At the preliminary hearing the judge can/will decide if there is enough initial evidence presented by the prosecution to warrant a second degree murder charge. If not, he can and will tell the prosecution what they can charge Zimmerman with.
At that point the prosecution can and will prosecute for that maximum charge but will include all the lesser charges that would fall under that. Like aggravated battery. Simple battery. Spitting on the sidewalk. On down the line.
Depending on the balls of the judge he/she could tell the prosecution they don’t have a case and stop it right there.
Be interesting to see, huh?
You have judges that completely overturn the explicitly voted in decisions of the majority of THE PEOPLE, here and there. See if there is one out there that has the guts to overturn the will of the PC crapbastards calling the shots here.
And don’t forget Xzins. Not only have I seen this movie before, I starred in the SOB.
Round TWO
Trevor Dooley's lawyers seek dismissal in Tampa 'stand your ground' case(FL)
“I think she actually spoke from her heart what she honestly feels.”
I saw her (with her attorney) discuss this on O’Reilly last night. She looked credible to me — not scripted or practiced. Guess she knows Sonny Boy’s true character will be revealed during a trial and calling it an “accident” now will start to diffuse some of the crap that’s sure to result, no matter what the verdict will be. She, and the black community, would rather Zimmerman be charged with a lesser offense than Murder 2 than be deemed “not guilty”.
I have to give her some credit, she pronounced the word “asked” correctly.
