My first choice was Sarah...then Herman...then Newt...then Santorum. Sadly it appears we’re going to be stuck with Romney.

After a good deal of thought, I’ve decided that I will vote for Romney. In MY view, as bad as Romney is, he isn’t an American hating Marxist like our current resident in the Oval Office. I’m simply going to play the hand that has been dealt, and deal with the reality that Romney will be the nominee.

In MY view, we won’t survive four (heck two more years) of Obama. In MY view, at least with Romney we have a chance. I know this rationale pi$$es many off because they see it as caving or as setting up a straw-man. I (many of us) see it as dealing with reality of a very bad situation and making the best choice we can.

Just my 2 cents.

My 2 cents is that we've gotten to this point because we have telegraphed to the establishment Republicans that we will vote for whoever they put up. They laugh at us and put up someone more liberal each election cycle. And they will next time, too, unless we put the brakes on this handbasket.

If we continue as we are doing, our nominee of our own party will be so liberal that he will make Obama look like Reagan.

"In MY view, as bad as Romney is, he isn’t an American hating Marxist like our current resident in the Oval Office."

And that's just a steaming pile of horse shit. Romney fully intends to trample on the constitution and our liberty from the get go. He's still in love with his baby RomneyCare. He is the proud grand pappy of ObamaCare. He loves the individual mandate and means to force it on all of us. Show me where in the Declaration or the Constitution it says that government can force a man to purchase a product or service he doesn't want and against his will? Romney's already assembling a national healthcare task force to help the states impose RomneyCare like programs in all 50 states. He's just as committed to socialism and control by a group of elites as Obama.

He's also looking for ways to allow the illegal aliens to remain in country. That means he'll eventually grant them amnesty and the vote and that gives them millions of more socialist voters. And he still believes in man made global warming and he believes government has to do something about it. More socialism. Bigger government. More government force, more corruption and more abuse.

He also believes that gays in scouting clubs and gays in the military are good ideas. That TARP was a good idea and that we'll need more stimulus packages to fight off the coming depression. He also favors raising the debt limit. And he appoints liberal judges. There is no good reason under the sun to vote for this evil socialist bastard.

Romney loathes conservatives, conservatism. Don't be a fool or a tool. A vote for Romney is your personal consent FOR his brand of big government socialism. He'll take it as a mandate. He loves mandates.

Consider that if a war over the soul of America is unavoidable, and the Trayvon Martin v.Zimmerman case indicates that is the case, is it not better that such a conflict occur sooner than later?

Every year, the socicalist collective known as the public school system produces another graduating class that has no idea of American history or American Exceptionalism.

Best the fight occurs before the population of acculturated Americans vanishes from this land - what say you, FReepers?

I agree with you Artcore, and I love FR but if I'm banned I'm banned.

Sometimes it's harder to say how you really feel to your FRiends then to your enemies.
