Newt's words:

“The Republican Party is a managerial party that doesn’t like to fight, doesn’t like to read books,” Gingrich said. “This is why the Tea Party was so horrifying. Tea Partiers were actually learning about the Declaration of Independence. They wanted to talk about the Federalist Papers. It was weird. They [GOP-e]could be golfing."

My words, one week ago:

The Congressional Republicans -- like most Republicans -- think like small businessmen. They think like shopkeepers and mill owners.

The opposition fields people who think like tribal warriors and suicide bombers.

How is that ever going to work out?

Your analysis is painfully accurate.

I remember the GOP-e back in ‘94 being horrified with Newt’s tactics that eventually handed them their first Congressional majority in 40 years. Nothing but a bunch of wusses. But what’s our alternative?
