From what I've understood about this case, I'd bet Zimmerman was defending himself from a beating.
George Zimmerman is an unlucky guy. He's got the President, the DOJ, ABC, NBC, NY Times aligned with the Nation of Islam and the Black Panther gang.
I suppose the lesson is that if you're being beaten by a black man, shut up and take it.
