The sad news is you will hear “conservatives” try to make the case that Reagan would be too liberal for the GOP today.
It’s a stupid joke.
The GOP has moved left since then, way left. The liberal Democrats in those days would be called “center right” today.
Back in those days almost everyone paid taxes, now half the country doesn’t and complains the other half isn’t paying enough.
