Assuming they can find an impartial jury, on what evidence will they convict him? And if they don't convict him, will this prosecutor assume responsibility for the ensuing riots?

He will loose, because the prosecuting attorneys will make all about race.
He may get it overturned on appeals, but then will face the Fedgov civil rights charges which have a lower burden of proof.
