For the guy that killed his lawn by mistake it’s even worse.

He lives next to another old couple where the men groom their lawns impeccably. I’m sure they somehwat compete, so this fellow must be devastated.

Maybe he’ll sod it when rain arrives.

That happened to us in our first house at the beginning of our marriage. Hubby's dad was house sitting, and he decided to feed our Kentucky Blue Grass lawn. It looked okay when we got back, but two days later, it had brown, dead grass in stripes and swirls all over the entire lawn.

We just watered the heck out of it and reseeded. It grew back eventually, and we didn't have Mom and Dad over until it looked decent again.

They really were the best in-laws anyone could ask for.
