Did the lawn take a long time to come back?
A home on a small lot on one of my walk routes had a burned lawn and it was a year before becoming green again. Make me wonder what it took to fix.

No, we went to work on it the moment we found out what happened. We watered copiously for days to wash the fertilizer off the blades and well into the soil. We overseeded and watered some more.
I don't recall now exactly how long it took, for that was 30 years ago, LOL, but between Dad's birthday (July 2) and Mom's (November 28) it managed to come back like new, and Dad was never the wiser. We never told them about it.
We were living in southern California at the time, so the weather wasn't an issue.
It's hailing again right now. Just started.
