I have had dealings with the City of Roswell both legal and personal, and have always found them fairly reasonable. The mayor is a pretty good guy, long time local roots, a little bit eccentric (collects log cabins and runs his own small sawmill). His wife's an artist. He doesn't strike me as the tyrant type.
Of course, I could be wrong, but before you just run with the idea that this was "tyranny", you might consider some other points of view, particularly since the original account posted here is to say the least highly colored.
Okay, Mother, I hope you enjoy the future of America under the current and future “leadership” you seem to embrace. That is not conspiracy, but fact.
You have been a very vocal presence on this thread, so I do wonder what your part in this whole deal might be. Damage control, maybe?
Regardless. The majority of us freedom-loving, private property rights-loving Americans do not agree with you.
The article was rather positive for Mayor Jere Wood, whom I also know from my YR days in the area. It says Mayor Wood was friends with and was also helping Wordes with this situation. It was the tyrants on the City Council that were after him. I’m a bit surprised that Mayor Wood was unable to do more to reign in the Council.
