A dozen on 2/3 acre is still in the same ballpark we're talking about - doesn't turn the yard into a mudhole.

If on the other hand you had 100, you might not be feeling the love from your neighbors. It seems like Wordes' neighbors were o.k. with the idea until things got out of hand.
