My guess is the media appearance is the reason. Lawyers hate that kind of thing, for good reason.

I have yet to see a retainer agreement that doesn’t give all media communication decisions to the lawyer(s). You never see an accused, or any party to a lawsuit, appear on tv without his/her attorneys.
IF he made an agreement to appear on Hannity, he probably did so because he’d receive a more sympathetic audience; nonetheless, he shouldn’t have done it without his attorneys’ consent.
His father as an ex-judge should have advised him along those lines. It’s one thing for dad to appear on Hannity, quite another for George himself.
