"In the work that I had, we started a number of businesses, invested in many others and that overall created tens of thousands of jobs. So, I'm pretty proud of that record. And, by the way, in the general election, I'll be pointing out that the president took the reins of General Motors and Chrysler, closed factories, closed dealerships, laid off thousands and thousands of workers. He did it to try to save the business. We also had, on occasion, to do things that are tough to try and save a business."

Another falsehood told by Mitt Romney.

He was challenged by Governor Palin to present facts that backed up that claim and he never did.

Mitt Romney, telling the lies over and over again that no other Republican will do.

Quote Link “In the wake of the devastating Detroit riots of the summer of 1967, Michigan Gov. George Romney, a liberal Republican, met the radical organizer Saul Alinsky to discuss the grievances of the urban black poor,” he explained.

Photos of the meeting can be found in the archives of the Library of Congress.

Kaczynski noted that a book on George Romney quotes the former Michigan governor telling his allies, “I think you ought to listen to Alinsky.”

Political analyst and think-tank researcher Steve Baldwin believes that Mitt Romney was definitely impacted by his father’s association with Alinsky.
