So what is this board going to be talking about on election day 2012? Writing in Duncan Hunter? Everyone was talking that way when McCain got the nomination, but be election night everyone on this board was fully behind McCain. I expect it will be the same way this election.

Romney is 10 times more Liberal than McCain as his record attests to.
Furthermore, Romney won't find anyone as charismatic or as limited-government conservative than Sarah Palin.
Your expectations concerning FreeRepublic are about to be fully proven wrong.

40% of this nation polls conservative. If they lined up behind McCain then he only got like 8% of the remaining vote. I’d like to think we lined up behind him, especially with Palin on the ticket but it just doesn’t seem like that’s what happened.

Interesting comments, considering that was before your time.

After 30 years of the GOP working with the commies to defeat conservatives.....
MOST of FR has had enough, Obama and the GOP can have each other.
I want nothing to do with those who hate me and hate my values.

I know lots of people who refused to vote for the media's favorite "maverick" John McCain last time around because he wasn't a conservative. They all regret it now. All of those people will crawl over broken glass to vote for Willard this time just have a chance of ejecting Hussein from the White House.
We have a 2 party system with no chance of coalition government. That being the case, we will almost always have to vote for the proverbial lesser of 2 evils. It is what it is. For most of us, Ronald Reagan will be the only national level, general election candidate we will ever vote for that we were truly excited about (and had a real chance to win). Sadly, I was too young to vote in 80' and 84' and have had nothing but mushy moderates and RINO's to vote for.

I expect it will be the same way this election.
You can expect it all you want and NEED to make you all warm and fuzzy but NOT ME!
