There has to be a prominent, articulate conservative willing to run as a third-party candidate. The quicker that candidate gets into the race and organized, the greater percentage of the vote he or she can garner.

From your lips to God's ear.

I sure hope that person reads FR.

Don't worry NoGrayZone, we will give them Hell until the election, and keep giving them Hell Afterwards, the Lib's on both sides will pine for the day we sat down and did what they said, because those days are long gone.

Jim, as upset as I am that the idiots successfully pushed their RINO down our throats and held our noses and made us all waste our money and efforts to fight fight fight against it, and now forced us now to swallow, I really fear Obama’s second term.

I do believe that even a flipping RINO would be safer for our country than Obama.

Having watched Romney for the past 3.5 years since the last election, it was obvious he was running and it was obvious he had no cojones. At every current event, he was always the 5th or 6th to chime in with a safe opinion. Gov Palin was nearly always first with a strong opinion that I always agreed with. Romney is a loser. He’s not close to a conservative. I did not want him and I knew we would have a FIGHT to put him down. We did fight with what we had, as best we could.

This whole thing makes me sick.

But I need to fight off Obama. Obama LITE is better than Obama, full strength. Romney may be owned by some bad creatures but they are at least American. Those who brung Obama to the dance are our ENEMIES!

Will I be in trouble for believing we need to FIGHT OBAMA at all costs, even voting for the opponent? Will there be room for this opinion here? It’s your site, I respect it, but my heart and brain say WE LOST, THEY SHOVED HIM DOWN OUR THROATS, but now we have to fight Obama because he is far worse than Romney.

We have a SEPARATE FIGHT against the Republican party. I’d like to see a REAL TEA PARTY that is economically and socially CONSERVATIVE, focusing on what makes us America and what makes us great, OUR CONSTITUTION. We need a new party.

But for now, would it be OK around these parts to fight against Obama with our crappy nominee whom we did not want?

He’s nothing but a lying two-bit leftist political whore who will screw you in the end. No way in hell will I support him.

I wish a LOT of FReepers with early sign-up dates felt the same way...however they are swarming FR in supporting Mitt.

Is there a method to determine if the IP being used now is the same as the one used at sign-up? I have suspicions of Mitt's army taking over these accounts....it would be true to form.

Yes. If Newt made the nomination I’d vote for him in a heartbeat. If my vote for Newt ends up making one bit of difference by the time of the TX primary, I’ll be pleased.

Failing all that though, and presuming that Romney gets the nomination and also manages to not tick me off totally between now and Election Day, I won’t throw my vote away in November.

Vote Newt in the Texas Primary to stop Romney.

We need a brokered convention.

Right on, Jim!!
I will vote for a conservative for President, and at this point, I will write in ‘Sarah Palin” and encourage others to do the same. If the timid Romney supporters would all vote for Sarah Palin, they would bring about a cleansing political reformation, a return to the principles of the Founders and a better and more prosperous nation.
I nominally control my one vote and have no obligation to use it for the personal vanity or monetary gain of another person or party. Not wanting one person is not a good reason to vote for ‘anyone’.
It is notable that many of the remarks supporting Mr. Romney do not mention any conservative reasons to vote for him, probably because there are not any.
