Jesse Jackson, the president and founder of Rainbow PUSH Coalition, doubled down on a statement he made in London in December proclaiming Jesus was an occupier, this time tying the proclamation to the story of Easter weekend. Speaking at an Occupy Chicago rally in Grant Park on Saturday, Jackson told a crowd his interpretation of why Jesus went to the cross: He fought for the poor because he was among the poor. He faced crucifixion as he fought occupation. Specifically, Jackson said Jesus was killed because he confronted the money changers in the temple in Jerusalem, as told in the

Where is that staff of Moses when you really need it? It swallows up snakes...
Stuff it Jesse. Why don’t you go count your kids or something.
I would say he has become a blubbering dotard but he has always acted this way.
Period.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
The nerve of this man with a second, extra-marital family on the side to continue to be some kind of "spiritual leader". Somebody really ought to call him out on it.
Jesse:
God loves yuh but, neck if I’m ever gonna ....
Satan occupies.
Jesus shows where invited in.
So Jesus was both an occupier and he fought occupation.... and Jesse Jackson is senile.
Gee! And I always thought the Sanhedrin accused Him of Blasphemy, in that He claimed to be exactly who He was.
But then Jesse is probably right and I’m wrong, ‘cause he’s got a “Rev” in front of his name.
(I’ve always wondered what church bestowed that title.)
“Wow,” said Alan as he shook his head, “Wow.”
Jesse! Jesus was killed because he was black.
The irony here is that Jesus had no problem with the money changers perse it was that they were conducting business in the Holy Temple. Much could be said about Rev. Jackson using his position in the church to amass millions.
“And I always thought the Sanhedrin accused Him of Blasphemy, in that He claimed to be exactly who He was.”
Yes, that would be what actually happened, but since when are libs concerned with facts ?
“(Ive always wondered what church bestowed that title.)”
The same one Anton Lavey went to, perhaps ?
Jesus was an occupier of corrupt private citizen?
He fought for the poor because he was among the poor.”
Obviously, Jesse Jackson is making the point that he and Jesus have nothing in common.
(from news stories on the lawsuit against JJ from a former assistant)
I've often thought that the "Jesus was a community organizer" motif was not merely ridiculous and stupid, but also revealing.
Perfect, sinless Jesus is a constant reproach to those who (for example) mercilessly gay-bait their little queer assistant for laughs. It's easier for such people to think of Jesus as...well, someone like themselves. Cause Jesus went around calling the Apostles "little mother******s", right?
Let’s add greed, pride, and wrath that covers six of the seven deadly sins
It is telling that both the “Rev” Jackson with this bogus crap and The Usurper with his mangling of the story of The Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane display such contempt for what they mistakenly believe to be the scriptural illiteracy of Judeo/Christians in this country.
But then neither one of them knows crap about the Constitution either.
The Usurper gets a pass, as he is, after all just an illegal Mohammedan alien. But Jackson should know better. He was born here.
I think.
