Idiots. Far better to buy an isolated place no one knows about or can easily access. If everyone in the county knows about the food there, don’t you think the mayor, police chief, national guard, etc aren’t going to “inspect” the place for code violations and confiscate their food as fines?
It’s one thing to fight off lone desperados, quite another to fight the local authorities.
If society collapses or the zombie apocalypse starts, I’m thinking that anyone in a fortified bunker isn’t going to really give a damn when the “local authorities” come knocking.
