There will be a nice raise in his speaking and public appearance fees, a new book or two, maybe one for Callista too, and many offers for consulting services. Not to mention the opportunity to sit back and say “I told you so” for the next however many years... All good for Newt.

Newt will probably stay involved with trying to change the direction of the party, with the help of Sarah Palin. They could even foster a successful national Tea Party for 2016.

I would greatly support that effort myself.
